Responsibilities:
The Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) will:
- Provide healthcare, first aid, immunizations and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation in locations such as schools, hospitals, and industry
- Administer and maintain IVs, draw Blood, and work with EKGs
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
- Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions
- Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
- Perform physical examinations, make tentative diagnoses, and treat patients en route to hospitals or at disaster site triage centers
- advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
- Perform other duties, as needed
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
- Medical-Surgical experience in an Acute Care setting
